Multi-tiered systems of support for school attendance and its problems: An unlearning perspective for areas of high chronic absenteeism

چکیده
School attendance problems (SAPs) are a vexing challenge for many educational districts given their complexity, heterogeneity, and opacity. One potential coordinated, integrated approach to ameliorate SAPs boost school is leverage existing school-based systems already designed address multiple individual domains of functioning in students. Multi-tiered support frameworks its have been developed but remain the nascent stage. The purpose this perspective article begin discussion as how such could be fundamentally reconfigured areas with very high rates chronic absenteeism. Recommendations provided at each tier, understanding that original notions tiers ostensibly constructed aimed must unlearned these circumstances.
